Grover McLaughlin
He has been a Wrestling Official for College and High School for 31 years. He has officiated Pennsylvania State High School finals 4 times, West Virginia High School finals 4 times, as well as many Sectional, District and Regional Tournaments throughout Pennsylvania. Grover was the Pennsylvania State Wrestling Rules Interpreter for 6 years. He is a member of the District 3 Coaches Hall of Fame and the Pennsylvania Wrestling Coaches Hall of Fame. Most recently, he was voted into the Pennsylvania Sports Hall of Fame, West Shore Chapter. He has officiated the NCAA National Championships 1 time, the College Division Championships 8 times, the Eastern Intercollegiate Championships 2 times, the Southern Conference Championships 3 times, Middle Atlantic College Championships 12 times, the Eastern College Conference Championships 2 times, other Open College Tournaments 15 times, and the Pennsylvania State Collegiate Championships 1 time. Grover played Professional Baseball and 12 years of Semi-Professional ball and made the New York State All-Star Team. He then played in the National Baseball Tournament in Wichita, Kansas while in the service. He retired from the U. S. A. F. as a Lt. Colonel after serving a combat duty as a P-47 Thunderbolt Fighter Pilot. He received the Distinguished Flying Cross and Air Medal with 8 clusters. Grover was taken into the Pennsylvania Sports Hall of Fame, West Shore Chapter in 2002. He retired from the Pennsylvania Office of the Budget as Comptroller of the Dept. of Transportation.
