Bob Madge
Official Bob began wrestling at Norland Junior High School in 1963. He went on to become a FHSAA State Champion at Norland High School in the 171 pound weight class. He was also team captain of the FHSAA State Championship Team. Bob continued his wrestling at Miami Dade Community College where he was team captain and two times Florida State Collegiate Champion at 167 pounds. Bob began his career as a fire fighter in 1976. He excelled in his career becoming a Fire Code Inspector and serving as Chairman of the Broward County Board of Rules and Appeals. Bob began his officiating career in 1977. In 1982 he became the first FHSAA State Wrestling Champion to officiate the FHSAA State Wrestling Finals. His officiating career has spanned 30 years. During that time he has officiated countless tournaments, dual matches, District, County, Regional and State Championships. Bob officiated four years in the College Division at the Citrus Open. In 2000 he was inducted into the Broward Coach's Hall of Fame as an official. In 2002 Bob served on the FHSAA Wrestling Test Review Committee and developed the first multiple choice test for officials for the annual exam.
