Official Pat wrestled in High School placing second in the state tournament in Tennessee. He attended the University of Tennessee and wrestled there for 1½ years. He officiating for 6 seasons in Tennessee until 1978. Pat moved to Florida where he has added another 42 years of officiating. He has spent 36 years as Booking and Training Commissioner for North Florida Wrestling Officials Association. Pat has worked more than a dozen FHSAA State Wrestling Championships. He served on the Officials Advisory Committee from 2003 -2008. Pat has gifted memorabilia to officials assigned to the State tournament for over 25 years. His generous nature has led him to provide wrestling shoes to disadvantaged kids at several high schools. He also provides his services to any high school in his area needing an official for parent's night. Pat has been a member of the National Federation of High Schools since 1985. His accomplishments include; Head Official 18 years for the Flagler Rotary Tournament, 1986 Inter Service Wrestling Championships, 1986 Freestyle Senior Nationals, 1984 and 1985 Sunshine Open, 1997 Meritorious Achievement by the FHSAA for Wrestling, and in 1991 NFIOA Outstanding Wrestling Official for the state of Florida.
