A two-time state champion at Santa Fe High School, Lyndon Campbell went on to compete at Villanova University.

When Villanova discontinued its wrestling program, he transferred to Cal State University Fullerton. Campbell became a three-time NCAA Division I Championships qualifier and won the Pac-10 championship during his senior season, finishing in the top 12 of his weight class.

Since 1996, Campbell has been a cornerstone of Temecula Valley High School. Under his incredible leadership he has led his teams to 38 consecutive league titles, 40 combined California Interscholastic Federation Southern Section team championships (dual meet and traditional), four Masters Meet team titles, and an astonishing dual-meet record of 534-27.
