Following graduation from Miami High School, Mark Hudson continued his wrestling career, competing one year at Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College, before finishing at Southwest Missouri State University. During his time at Southwest Missouri State, Mark began his distinguished 22-year career as a wrestling official.

Officiating from 1976-98, Hudson was one of Oklahoma’s most respected wrestling officials. During his career, he was in great demand, calling high school, junior college, and NCAA Division I duals and tournaments. He called numerous conference duals in the Big Eight, Big Ten, and Big 12. He also officiated at the Reno Open three times and the Great Plains Open five times.

The respect for Hudson’s officiating is evident in the fact that he was named the Oklahoma Secondary School Activities Association’s Outstanding Official eight times. Hudson also officiated three Bedlam Duals, five NJCAA National Championships, and three NAIA National Championships.

Hudson continues to be involved in the sport of wrestling, supporting Oklahoma high school wrestling as well as NEO Wrestling, and youth wrestling in Miami and Grove.
