• Native of Atlanta, Georgia; 1987 graduate of Riverwood HS where he an outstanding multi-sport athlete, earning 9 letters in wrestling, football and soccer; Team Captain and MVP in all three sports

• GHSA state wrestling runner-up (1987); Fargo Nationals Freestyle placer (7th-1986); AAU Freestyle National Champion (1986)

• 2017 Inductee into the Riverwood Athletic Association Hall of Fame

• Outstanding collegiate competitor at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga (UTC) - 1988-92

• 2X Southern Conference Champion (1990,1991), Southern Conference Runner-Up (1992); 3X All-Conference (1990, 1991,1992), 2X NCAA tournament qualifier; career record 82-24-1; Most Improved (1990)

• A large benefactor to the UTC wrestling program, he has served on numerous philanthropic boards across the country and in the metro Atlanta area, including serving on the Board of Directors for the Bobby Dodd Coach-of-the-Year Foundation, Northside Athletes Foundation, Buckhead Lions Club and the Arnold Foundation

• Over 19 years as a valuable GHSA Community Coach for high school programs in the north Atlanta area: 

Marist School - 10 years (2007-2016) - 31 state placers, 3 state champions, team runner-up (2015), Team Duals 4th (2010) and 3rd (2015)

St. Pius X) - 4 years (2017-2021) - 1 state champion, 4 state placers

Marist School - 1 year (2021-2022) - 1 state champion, 3 state placers, Team Duals 4th                            

Mt. Vernon - 3 years (2022-2025) - 4 state placers
