Scott Romano was a four-time Connecticut state wrestling champion for Joel Barlow High School.

He became the 12th wrestler in state history to win four titles and accomplished it at three different weight classes: 132 pounds as a freshman, 138 pounds as a sophomore, and 150 pounds as a junior and senior.

Romano had a career record of 168-26 with 91 pins and 11 major decisions.

He was named the Outstanding Wrestler at the 2025 State Class M tournament as a senior, after winning all of his matches by fall, and was also named Outstanding Wrestler at the 2024 Fairfield Ludlowe Tournament.

Romano also received the All-State Scholar Award and was also a member of Barlow's state championship football team in 2022 and 2023.
