GeorgeAnne Ritter

GeorgeAnne Ritter, with husband Jim, have been pivotal figures in Nevada wrestling, dedicating their lives to developing youth programs and shaping the sport’s future. In 1991, they co-founded the Fallon Outlaws, a youth wrestling program that continues to thrive today. Together, they worked tirelessly to promote and expand wrestling opportunities for young athletes in Northern Nevada.

GeorgeAnne, born in Martinez, California, in 1939, moved to Fallon, Nevada, as a child. After marrying Jim Ritter, she embraced wrestling and quickly became a trailblazer in the sport. In 1991, she became the first woman to serve as USA Nevada State Chairman, a role she held for 19 years. Her leadership brought regional and national tournaments to Nevada, including the Reno World of Wrestling (WOW), and she played a significant role in forming regional and national wrestling teams. GeorgeAnne’s accomplishments earned her numerous accolades, including the USA Wrestling Person of the Year Kids Wrestling Award (2005), the Reno Worlds (WOW) Founders Award (2023), and induction into Fallon High School's Greenwave Hall of Fame (2023).

Together, GeorgeAnne and Jim spent over three decades building a lasting legacy in wrestling, transforming the sport in Nevada and inspiring generations of athletes.
