Keith Slifka

Keith has spent 33 years coaching wrestling. He started his coaching career in 1991 as a student assistant at Westmar College, the next two years from 1992-1994 he was an assistant coach at Sibley-Ocheydan. From 1995-2000 Keith was the head coach at West Lyon. In 2001, Keith took an assistant job at Cresco. The last 18 years from 2001-2024 of his career he was the head coach at Cresco.

Keith's coaching record is 348-167. He was District Coach of the Year eight times, winning 2A Coach of the Year in 2021. He had the honor of coaching four-time State Champion Carter Fousek.

Keith has a tremendous record with 54 Tournament championships, eight Sectional, and six District titles, along with 18 Regional appearances and three State Dual appearances.

Keith's wrestlers have commanded 54 Individual conference titles, 50 individual District titles, 95 State Qualifiers, 47 State place winners, 14 State Finalists, eight State Champions, and 28 wrestlers with over 100 career wins.

Keith and his wife Edie have two children- a son, Hunter, and a daughter, Whitney. His wife, Edie, died as a result of a motorcycle accident in 2023.
