Akerah completed her Senior season as a 2023 State Champion (first ever Female State Champion for Sparkman High School) and went undefeated at 35-0. Akerah was also State Runner-Up during her Junior and Sophomore years. During her three seasons of high school wrestling, Akerah compiled a record of 82-3. While thriving as an athlete in wrestling and track and field, Akerah maintained a GPA over 3.9, was inducted into the National Honor Society, and served in the Student Government Association. Akerah’s leadership at Sparkman High School is evidenced by her many leadership roles in numerous school organizations and her selection as Team Captain for both wrestling and track and field.
