All Steve Logsdon does is win. In his 18 years at the helm of Bradley Central he piled up 382 wins, 20 state championships (11 Duals, 9 Traditionals), 4 undefeated seasons, 7 one-loss seasons, and had a 17-yr home undefeated streak in which they were 128-0! He coached 35 wrestlers to 52 individual state championships. But numbers rarely tell anyone's whole story. Steve made his kids believe. As impressive as those numbers are he would rather point to the wrestlers that went on to wrestle (or not) and graduate from prestigious universities around the country. He challenged his teams to be more. Bradley had 2nd and 5th place finishes at the ultra competitive Virginia Duals during Steve's tenure as well as 14 high school All-Americans and 7 TSSAA OWs.

Steve relishes in extreme sports. He’s still a very fit endurance athlete. And wrestling is definitely an extreme sport in Bradley County. P. A. said he got cussed by Bradley fans for calling Cleveland for stalling in the state finals. They said this is Bradley-Cleveland. They aren’t stalling…the mat is not that big, we know where to find them. We’ve come to brawl. 

Steve is not just a coach, he's a mentor and a teacher. He takes copious amounts of notes during each match to give immediate feedback to each wrestler. A trait now head coach Ben Smith has adopted.

Steve graduated from Bradley in 1984 and wrestled at UTC becoming team caption as a sophomore. Steve has had his path influenced by Hall of Famers Turner Jackson, Jim Morgan, and Ethan Reeve. Alan Morris Sr. helped establish the ever critical club program. There's no telling how many future HOFers that Steve has influenced. He has come full circle and is now coaching the Bradley Pride Kids Club developing a new wave to wrestlers to be feared and young men and women that Bear Nation can be proud of.
