Cayden Condit

"I'm here to win it" is a direct quote from this year's Tricia Saunders recipient Cayden Condit taken from a 2018 news interview. And that's exactly what Cayden has been striving for all through her 13-year wrestling career.

Cayden has competed mostly against boys during her wrestling career. In fact, when she was asked why she chose boys as her competition, her response was, "It's what I have been doing my whole life." That's why she chose to be on the Saints' boys' team.

Cayden boasts an impressive wrestling resume. She finished first at the 2020 unsanctioned Colorado High School State Women's Wrestling Tournament. She also took first at the Jimmy Johns Northern Colorado Christmas Tournament. She was first at the CUSAW Betterman Tournament High School Class and second at the CUSAW Betterman Elite Freestyle for 16 and under.

Overall, she has compiled a high school record of 114-28. Ranked sixth in the nation at 127 pounds, she is 24-0 against female opponents.

She lettered all four years of her high school career, qualifying for boys' state her freshmen year. She placed fourth in her region in the boys' competition during the 2020-2021 wrestling season. However, because of the COVID 19 pandemic, Cayden was unable to attend the Colorado State High School Wrestling Tournament since only the top two regional placers were allowed to attend the competition.

Cayden is also a multiple time wrestling champion as well as an All American in freestyle and folk style wrestling. She is the first 'Female Outstanding Wrestler' at World of Wrestling Reno Nationals as well as a three time 'Women's Outstanding Wrestler' at the World of Wrestling—Reno. Cayden is also a Rocky Mountain Nationals Triple Crown and a Golden Gear and Tri State belts winner. Cayden has shown that she is ready to step on the wrestling mat and compete.

Not only is Cayden impressive on the mat, she is involved in her community and school activities. Her volunteer work at North Star Rehabilitation and Nursing Home has earned Cayden high praise from community leaders. Her volunteer work at Jefferson High School, in which she was involved in many school leadership roles, has allowed her to earn experience for her future role of student and community leader.

Upon graduating from Edgewater's Jefferson High School, Cayden has chosen to attend Lindenwood University located in Saint Charles, Missouri. Her high 3.9 grade point average and the skills she learned with the strong wrestling program and great coaching staff have given Cayden the means to prosper and grow as a student, athlete, and person while attending this outstanding university.
