Larry coached for 41 years in Ohio, Florida, and Georgia. He coached 58 state champions and 156 state placers. His Columbus High team in 2006 was Georgia state champs. He also coached Team Florida and Team Georgia at Cadet Nationals. He had 38 wrestlers go on to wrestle collegiately. He also has six assistant coaches who have been inducted into the Wrestling Hall of Fame.
