  • 1960 graduate of Binghamton North HS where he starred in wrestling and football

  • Attended Augusta Military Academy in Fort Defiance, VA - 1 year - (1960-61)

  • Graduated from Appalachian State University (Boone, NC) - 1961-65 - B.S. Social Studies

  • Starred on the mats as a four-year starter for the NAIA Mountaineers, serving as team captain as a junior and senior

  • 54 years as a wrestling coach; believed to be the longest serving wrestling coach in Georgia history

  • 1 year (1966-67) as a graduate assistant coach at App State

  • 5 years (1967-72) - head coach at Chamblee High School

  • 12 years (1972-84) - head coach at Dunwoody High School

  • 7 years (1984-91) - head coach at the Marist School

  • 11 years (1991-2002) - head coach at Stone Mountain High School

  • Retired from teaching in May of 2002 but continued service as a wrestling coach at several schools

  • 2 years (2002-04) - head coach at St Pius X High School

  • 1 year (2004-05) - head coach at the Weber School

  • 10 years (2005-15) - head coach at Dunwoody High School

  • 5 years (2015-20) - head coach at Chamblee High School

  • Served as co-director of Kids Division and Juniors coach of Team Georgia/USA Wrestling for several years

  • Inducted into the Chamblee High School and Dunwoody High School Athletic Hall of Fame
