Pat Ball

Pat Ball is recognized for his years of dedication to the development of leadership and citizenship in young people through the sport of wrestling

* Hosts the annual "Pat Ball" Wrestling Tournament

* High School Coach for twenty-six years

* Coached nine State Champions

Pat started his high school coaching at Hermiston High School and after one year switched to Henley High School, where he coached for two years. He left Henley to become coach at Banks High School, a position he held for the next twenty-three years

During his twenty six years of coaching, his teams had 286 District place winners and nine individual Oregon State Championships.

Coach Ball was twice selected Coach of the Year by fellow Tri-Valley coaches.

Coach Ball annually hosts the "Pat Ball" Wrestling Tournament in December and does all the planning, running/scoring of this tournament. He sells wrestling t-shirts that he autographs and the proceeds go to a needy wrestling family for the Christmas season.

For his dedication and lasting influence on wrestling, Pat Ball is presented the National Wrestling Hall of Fame's "Lifetime Service to Wrestling award for the class of 2005
