Stephen DeAugustino

Stephen DeAugustino comes from one of the first families of Pennsylvania wrestling.

After graduating from the University of Maryland and completing a successful collegiate wrestling career, Steve made his way to Flagler Palm Coast High School and became the head wrestling coach in 1980.

He led the Bulldogs to three consecutive state championships in 1993, 1994 and 1995 and also had a pair of runner-up finishes in 1989 and 1996. When he was honored in 2004, he had coached 11 individual state champions and never had an unsportsmanlike point against him. DeAugustino also led his teams to 15 district and seven regional titles while being named Florida High School Athletic Association Coach of the Year three times.

After coaching for 27 years, he became the school's athletic director in 2007 and remained in the role for 16 years. He then returned to the wrestling room for three years as an assistant coach for one of his former wrestlers David Bossardet. At one point while he was running the wrestling program, DeAugustino was also an assistant football coach and the head softball coach.

His father, Steve, uncle Gus and cousin Mark are also recipients of the Lifetime Service to Wrestling award.
