Jeff Davis

Coach / Contributor John "Jeff" Davis is a member of one of Florida's foremost wrestling families. Jeff was a two time State Champion for Miami Killian High School and went on to wrestle for the University of Florida. After graduation, he served as the assistant coach at University of Florida and organized the Florida Wrestling Club, which provided a vehicle for those wrestlers who wanted to wrestle all year long. Coach Davis organized and directed the Sunshine Open, which was held in Gainesville. In 1977 and '78, he organized and directed the first ever Freestyle/Greco Roman training camps for the Florida Junior team in preparation for the Junior National Tournament and had the pleasure of organizing and directing the Florida Wrestlerettes. In 1990 and '91, Coach Davis was the event and tournament director of the USAW National Espoir Championships.
