Tom Beeson
A graduate of Lincoln High School in 1964 and Western State College in 1968, he began his coaching career as an assistant at Western State in 1969. Positions at Wheat Ridge and Phoenix East high schools followed before returning to Colorado and Pomona High School in 1974 where he finished his career. He compiled a dual match record of 197-78-5, won two Class 5 A state titles (2000 and 2001), his teams finished in the top 10, 14 times in the state meet and in the top three in the Jefferson County League 21 times. He coached 15 state champions (including six in 2001), 85 state place winners, 162 conference finalists, two Reno National Champions and eight national place winners. He earned All-American honors at Western State, is a member of the NCAA Division II National Wrestling Hall of Fame as well as Western State's Hall of Fame and the Colorado Coaches Hall of Fame. He was selected as an ESPN National Coach of the Week, Jefferson County League coach of the year six times and 5A Colorado coach of the year four times.
