Eric Beardsley

January 14, 1925 - December 17, 2014

Eric Beardsley started his coaching career in 1951 and became the first wrestling coach at Moses Lake High School.

He established a state power in his seven years at Moses Lake High School from 1951-1959.

In 1959, he became the first wrestling coach at Central Washington University and coached there until his retirement in 1985, capping 34-year coaching career.

During his tenure at CWU, he coached 14 national champions, 32 All-Americans and 53 national place-winners.

Twelve of his teams placed in the Top 10 nationally.

Most importantly, Coach Beardsley has been and ambassador for wrestling in the State of Washington.
