Curley Culp
March 10, 1946 - November 27, 2021
Curley Culp wrestled at Arizona State and won the national title at heavyweight in 1967 while also capturing the Gorriaran Award for most falls after pinning opponents in the quarterfinals, semifinals and finals.
He won back-to-back Arizona state heavyweight wrestling championships in 1963 and 1964.
He was an All-American in football at Arizona State and then played 14 seasons in the National Football League with the Kansas City Chiefs, Houston Oilers and Detroit Lions from 1968-1981.
He helped Kansas City win the Super Bowl in 1970 and was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2013.
