Sarah Conner
The 2019 National Wrestling Hall of Fame, Tricia Saunders High School Excellence Award, for the Outstanding Female Wrestler of the Year in Oregon goes to 4-time Oregon girls wrestling state champion, Sarah Conner. Sarah is one of the pioneers of Girls Wrestling in the State of Oregon. For all of her high school wrestling experience Sarah wrestled Varsity for the Central Linn Cobras. In fact Sarah is a 4-Sport athlete competing in Volleyball, Basketball, Wrestling and Softball for the Central Linn Cobras. In addition to being a 4 time state wrestling champ Sarah was named 2nd Team All-league volleyball in 2018, 1st Team All Tournament Basketball in 2019, and 1st Team All league Catcher Softball in 2017. In wrestling, Sarah has been a 5x USA Wrestling all American at the USA Wrestling National Freestyle Championships in Fargo. She was a 2017 USA Wrestling Cadet National Champion for Oregon and a 3 time Junior National All-American. Sarah was also a 2 time Reno Worlds Champion. In 2019 Sarah will wrestle in college and has chosen to stay close and wrestle for the RiverHawks at the women's program at Umpqua Community College in Roseburg.
