Wes Roberts

Representing the Southern Plains Region, Westmoore High School. Wes Roberts amassed a career record of 125-6, including 55 falls, en route to capturing three state titles. He was tabbed as the Outstanding Wrestler at the 2000 Oklahoma High School Championships as well. Roberts finished second at the NHSCA national tournament and was named a member of Wrestling USA's Dream Team. In 1999, he won the Reno Tournament, placed second at the junior national tournament and was a 1998 Cadet World Team member. Roberts received Cadet All-America honors in 1996 and 1997. On the gridiron, Roberts also excelled as a member of the Jaguar football team. He served as a team captain for three seasons and finished his career atop the school's all-time career tackles chart. Roberts numbers in the classroom were equally impressive, posting a 4.02 GPA and earning Valedictorian plaudits.He was crowned �Mr. Westmoore" by his peers and was named as the school's Male Scholar Athlete of the Year. In addition, Roberts is a Student Council Representative, Young Life member and volunteered during the tornado relief effort last May. Roberts has signed to wrestler for the University of Oklahoma next year.
