Steven Powell

Steven Powell did his college wrestling at West Chester where he was a three-time place winner. He also placed 4th and 5th in the PSAC Tournament. But he truly established himself in wrestling as a coach at Easton Area High School. He just completed his 38th year of coaching at Easton, 27 as the head coach and the prior 8 years as an assistant coach. His teams have won nearly 500 dual meets and claimed First Place at the Reno Tournament of Champions 7 times. His Rover teams have won 4 PIAA Dual Meet Championships and finished Second 3 times. They have also won 4 PIAA Team titles. Steve's teams have captured 17 Manheim Tournament Championships with over 84 individual champions. He has coached 3 three-time PIAA Champions: Cuvo, Ciasulli and Oliver, among his 18 PIAA Champions; 79 place winners and 119 qualifiers. Steve is a member of the PWCA, NWCA, NHSCA, and USA Wrestling organizations. He was NWCA Coach of the Year in 1996, NHSCA Coach of the Year in 1997, and PWCA Coach of the Year 3 times (1996-2001-2002). Steve and his wife Bobbi Jo have no children.
