Wrestling Coach since 1969
Bob Buzzard was a National Champion, World Team member, Olympic Team member and wrestling coach for 29 years in Oregon, Michigan and Illinois. In Oregon, he coached at North Salem High School, Silverton HS, Canby HS, Sprague HS, Nestucca HS, Cascade HS and Western Oregon University. He developed five state champions, 7 state runners-up, 17 state placers and 34 district champions. Ten of his wrestlers went on to earn All-American honors in college.
Bob was selected 1979 Oregon Wrestling Coach of the Year and wasinducted into the lowa Wrestling Hall of Fame in 2006.
For his dedication and lasting influence on wrestling, Bob Buzzard is presented the National Wrestling Hall of Fame's "Lifetime Service to Wrestling' award for the class of 2009.
