Marty Wittman

Marty Wittman Curtis High School 1982 On December 9, 1982, during his second high school wrestling match of his sophomore year, Marty sustained a spinal cord injury which left him paralyzed from the chest down. He enjoys attending as many wrestling matches and tournaments as possible. He is constantly looking for ways to be more involved in the sport of wrestling. In the years since the accident, his primary goal was to return his life to normalcy and get back to school. He has influenced many students to develop as a complete person emphasizing a balance between academics and athletic participation. In 1997, he was a member of and won a gold medal in wheel chair rugby representing the United States in Australia. Marty continues his involvement with the sport of wrestling.
