20th Class To Be Inducted Into NJ Chapter of the NWHOF

As a result of the impact caused by the CoronaVirus, and the uncertainty that prevails in its pending resolution, the Executive Committee of the NJ Chapter of the NWHOF has unanimously decided to cancel the Class of 2020, September induction banquet and reschedule it for September 19, 2021. The Chapter will be preparing to induct seven members into its Class for 2021 that Sunday at the Westin Hotel located in Princeton, New Jersey, at 1 PM that afternoon.

Lifetime Achievement Awards will be presented to the following six inductees:   Ron Grigoletto, longtime NJSIAA wrestling official, former head coach, and retired school principal, John Illengwarth (deceased), a Lehigh University graduate who wrestled heavyweight, and garnered All-American honors while there, Dr. Linda Jastrabek, avid wrestling supporter of USA Wrestling, and former “Wrestling Woman of the Year”, Joseph Luongo, also a longtime wrestling official and retired NJ school administrator, William Pavlak, highly successful coach at South Plainfield HS whose teams were perennially ranked in NJ, and Fred Piotrowsky, noted head coach at Parsippany High School where his teams were mainstay’s in Morris County and in the state of NJ.  The Outstanding American Award recipient is Lieutenant Colonel Terrence Alvarez, U. S. Army, who served tours of duty in Iraq, Afghanistan, and South Korea.

The Class of 2021 will be joined by many former inductees from the previous 19 class inductions into the New Jersey Chapter, as well as several guests who will be in attendance to enjoy a banquet style meal beginning with introductory activities and awards program commencing at 1 PM.
