Florida Chapter's Class of 2025 Has Ascended, Chris Hixon Honored With Medal of Courage

The Florida Chapter of the National Wrestling Hall of Fame hosted its annual ceremony and honored Lifetime Service to Wrestling recipients Terry Brockland, Frank Fuder, Brian K. Jones, Michael Madry, Jonathan Vogt, Jeremy Walton, and Medal of Courage recipient Christopher Brent Hixon. Hixon, who lost his life as an American hero, was represented by his widow Debbie Hixon. The chapter's John T. Vaughan Award was presented to Ricky Marcus, a friend of wrestling.

Gary and Jane Townsend have put together a team that makes this weekend extremely special and memorable for honorees, their families and guests.

The pieces of the puzzle assembled by the Townsends include a Friday evening social, Saturday morning breakfast/testimonial, and the ceremony on Saturday night, which includes a fabulous display of Florida wrestling memorabilia in our mobile museum.
