Mike Crowder is a 1991 graduate of Lely High School in Naples, Florida and attended Florida State University. In 1995, even before he had graduated from FSU, Mike began his tenure as the Head Wrestling Coach at Lincoln High School in Tallahassee. Coach Crowder established his program at Lincoln HS as a dominant force, compiling a 305-74 record, with 1 State Champion, 6 State Finalists, and 29 Individual State place winners. His teams have been Regional Champions 6 times, Regional Runner-ups 7 times, District Champions 17 times, District Runner-ups 4 times, and City Champions for 21 years. One of the things Mike is most proud of is the relationships he has built with former wrestlers and parents. Countless former Crowder wrestlers have become assistant and head coaches, continuing to pass on the sport they love to younger generations. For Coach Crowder, it has always been less about winning and more about building men that will succeed in life after they leave the mat.

Mike has spent countless years working diligently with the FHSAA on the Wrestling Advisory Council. During his time on the council, Mike helped gain approval for proposals that had a major impact on the sport. A shining example would be the implementation of the FHSAA State Dual Meet Tournament, in which his team qualified in its inaugural year. Because of these accomplishments on and off the mat, Mike has been recognized many times by his peers. He has been North West Florida Coach of the year 4 times, All Big Bend Coach of the year 10 times, FACA District 3 coach of the year 5 times, and was a FACA Hall of Fame inductee in 2018.

Mike is not only committed to the sport he loves but also to his family. He and his wife Kari have two sons, Michael and Mason.
