POREC, Croatia – The brackets have been released for this weekend’s Trophy Adriatic competition, with 13 U.S. athletes entered in the U20 Greco-Roman division.
The Trophy Adriatic, which takes place at the Sports Hall Finida on the Croatian coast, will serve as an international tune-up tournament for eight members of the 2026 U20 World Team.
Returning U20 World Team members Leister Bowling IV and Arvin Khosravy headline the group of U.S. athletes. Bowling IV awaits the winner between Franz Gunther of Germany and Zalan Pek of Serbia in the 77 kg quarterfinals. Khosravy’s opening draw at 82 kg is Petr Žák of Czechia. A win for Khosravy puts him in the quarterfinals against 2025 Grand Prix of Spain Senior division champion Nurdaulet Rakhman of Kazakhstan.
Six more members of the 2026 U20 World Team are in the mix this weekend—Manuel Saldate at 60 kg, Nicholas Sorrow at 63 kg, Amryn Nutter at 67 kg, Aidan Squier at 87 kg, Cittadino Tuttle at 97 kg and Trayvn Boger at 130 kg.
Boger, the only entrant outside of Bowling IV and Khosravy with past World Championships experience, starts his run in the quarterfinals against Baktur Sovetkhan of Kazakhstan.
Nutter is staring down a likely quarterfinal contest against 2025 U17 World silver medalist Erekle Tavberidze of Georgia, in the premier opening bout for Team USA. Nutter was a Bill Farrell Memorial International champion last November.
Saldate and Sorrow are paired against past U17 European medalists right out of the gate. Saldate will face 2025 U17 European bronze medalist Magomed Varaev of France in the round-of-16. Sorrow, a 2025 U17 Pan American champion, takes on 2024 U17 European bronze medalist Davit Gabedava of Georgia in the round-of-16.
Squier and Cittadino open the tournament with matchups against Central European foes—Squier taking on Paul Maier of Austria, and Cittadino seeing Vendel Vitai of Hungary.
Other U.S. talents entered in Porec include Caeden Dominguez at 55 kg, Will Detar at 60 kg, Dominic Wilson at 72 kg, Will Scherer at 77 kg and JT Smith at 87 kg. Of this group, Dominguez drew the most credentialled opponent—2025 U17 European champion Stanislav Ivanov of Bulgaria.
First round opponents for each U.S. athlete can be found below.
The Trophy Adriatic takes place May 30-31, with the first five Greco-Roman weight classes running through on Saturday, followed by the next five on Sunday. The action begins at 10 a.m. local time each day. Porec, Croatia, is located six hours ahead of U.S. Eastern Time.
