National Wrestling Hall of Fame & Museum to Host IOC Vote Party

The National Wrestling Hall of Fame and Museum (NWHOFM) in Stillwater, Oklahoma, will open their doors on Sunday, September 8, 2013, to watch the International Olympic Committee (IOC) vote on which sport will be included in the 2020 and 2024 Olympic Games.

Following the IOC executive board’s vote to eliminate wrestling as a core sport; wrestling was given the opportunity to be voted back in the Olympic program for two Olympic cycles.

Join other wrestling dignitaries and enthusiasts as the Olympic future of our sport is announced.

9:00 am  National Wrestling Hall of Fame and Museum Opens
9:30 am  Watch wrestling’s presentation to IOC (live from Buenos Aires, Argentina)
10:00 am  NWHOFM program on presentation and Olympic wrestling history
10:45 am  IOC President Dr. Jacques Rogge will announce voting results
11:00 am  Oklahoma and Olympic wrestling dignitaries available to media
