Joe Nugent Begins Term to Lead Massachusetts Chapter of the National Wrestling Hall of Fame
The Massachusetts Chapter of the National Wrestling Hall of Fame announces new officers and board members. Following the retirement of President Sean Harrington, the Board elected Joe Nugent to assume the President role for the Chapter. Annie Staulo will serve as Vice-President and Chair of the Nominations Committee. Harry Takesian will take over Staulo's former post as the Chair of the Chapter's Programs committee. Chas Tucker will lead the Chapter's newly formed PR/Medial Subcommittee.
The Board also announced the election of several new Board members, including: Todd David, Wayne Griffin and Matt Willey along with Chris Barker who will serve in an associate Director capacity.
Nugent said: "I am excited to take over as President and help lead the Chapter through a rebulding phase. Sean was a relentless advocate for our group and our sport. Sean led us for six year, including leading us through all of the challenges of COVID. I know that I speak for everyone on the Board, when I say that we will miss Sean and his tireless leadership."
Nugent previously served as the Chapter's Secretary and also serves on the Mass Wrestling Association Board as the State's Women's Director.
