
Downstate New York Chapter has Record Attendance at Inductions
On the evening of April 24, 2015, at the Marriott Hotel in Melville, Long Island, the New York Downstate Chapter of the National Wrestling Hall of Fame, held its 21st Annual Induction/Reunion Dinner, before an enthusiastic audience of 729 guests.
The induction ceremonies were ably and professionally handled by Tom Ryan, National Collegiate Coach of the Year and Coach of the 2015 NCAA D1 Team Champion, Ohio State.
The inductees included, Steve Buscemi (Outstanding American) international film star, and former wrestler at Valley Stream Central High School. Steve spent much of his time signing autographs and posing for photos. The audience enjoyed his presence.
The following inductees were honored with the Lifetime Service Award: Paul Bass, Frank Carrozza, Robert Emmons, David Ironman, James Rooney, Ron Russo, Paul Schmidt, and Jon Tush.
All were enthusiastically honored by a sellout audience of wrestling supporters.
