Hall of Fame Relaunches Website

Following a complete redesign by USA Wrestling, the National Wrestling Hall of Fame relaunched its website – NWHOF.org - on May 9.

The collaboration between the Hall of Fame and USA Wrestling provides both entities the ability to utilize databases, videos, etc. The new website interacts with the kiosks at the Hall of Fame’s museums in Stillwater, Oklahoma, and Waterloo, Iowa.

“We are grateful to USA Wrestling for creating our new website. USA Wrestling staff members Meredith Wilson and particularly David Mathews have spent numerous hours building the site and making our vision a reality.” said Lee Roy Smith, Executive Director of the National Wrestling Hall of Fame. “They did an amazing job of combining our three entities – National Wrestling Hall of Fame, National Wrestling Hall of Fame Dan Gable Museum and State Chapters – into a website that is visually pleasing, user-friendly and informational.

“We are excited for our constituents to see our new website and experience all of the great new features as we continue to grow the online presence of the National Wrestling Hall of Fame, the Dan Gable Museum and our State Chapter program.”

One of the greatest improvements in the new website involves honorees, who now have more statistical information available and Hall of Fame induction videos, where available. While perusing honorees, visitors now have the ability to see all of their Hall of Fame awards as well as their statistics as a coach and athlete.

Visitors also have the ability to search for individuals to see honors that they have received from the Hall of Fame, the Dan Gable Museum and the State Chapter program. You can also see Dave Schultz High School Excellence Award and Tricia Saunders High School Excellence Award winners and NCAA championships and All-American honors, where applicable.

The redesigned “Champions Database” allows visitors to search for their favorite team, wrestler or season and see their college accomplishments and their Hall of Fame awards.

The website also features an improved merchandise experience, powered by Shopify, making it easier to order Hall of Fame clothing, posters, books and more.
