STILLWATER, Okla. – Caleb Rodriguez’s pin of August Moser at heavyweight gave Bishop McCort High School (Johnstown, Pennsylvania) a 37-28 win over Delbarton School (Morristown, New Jersey) in the championship match of the Third-Annual National Wrestling Hall of Fame Dual Classic. 

Featuring 10 of the top high school teams in the nation, the Dual Classic is presented by Cliff Keen Wrestling and Territory Resources in association with the U.S. Army and Visit Stillwater. 

Bishop McCort becomes the third different Dual Classic winner. Edmond North High School (Edmond, Oklahoma) won the inaugural event in 2023 and lost in the finals in 2024 to Wyoming Seminary College Prep (Kingston, Pennsylvania). The 2024 finals match was tied at 31 at the end of regulation and Wyoming Seminary won on criteria for most matches won, eight to six.  

Massillon Perry High School (Massillon, Ohio) beat Stillwater High School (Stillwater, Oklahoma), 33-26, to finish third while Edmond North defeated Sunnyside High School (Tucson, Arizona), 41-31, to place fifth. 

Greens Farms Academy (Westport, Connecticut) defeated Ponaganset High School (Glocester, Rhode Island), 35-30 to place seventh while James Martin High School (Arlington, Texas) beat Joliet Catholic High School (Joliet, Illinois), 35-34 to finish ninth. 

In the current MatScouts rankings, Bishop McCort is fifth, Delbarton is sixth, Stillwater is 12th, Edmond North is 15th, Massillon Perry is 18th, Sunnyside is 21st, Greens Farms Academy is 33rd, Joliet Catholic is 44th, and Ponaganset is 45th. 

Kayla Batres of Green Farms made history as the first female to compete in the Dual Classic. She went 4-1 with three falls, a forfeit and a loss by decision. In the latest National Girls High School rankings, Batres is No. 1 at 110 pounds and No. 15 in the Pound-for-Pound rankings. 

Delbarton’s Jayden James, who is ranked No. 1 at 150 pounds and #16 in overall Pound-for-Pound rankings, went 5-0 with three technical falls, a fall and a forfeit. 

Bo Bassett and Jax Forrest of Bishop McCort are ranked No. 1 at 144 pounds and 132 pounds and No. 3 and No. 5 in overall Pound-for-Pound rankings, respectively. Bassett was 5-0 with three falls and two technical falls while Forrest was 5-0 with two falls and three technical falls. 

Edmond North’s Kody Routledge, who is ranked No. 1 at 157 pounds and No. 17 in overall Pound-for-Pound rankings, was upset by Massillon Perry’s Melvin Miller, who is ranked No. 4 at 165 pounds in Round 5. Routledge finished the tournament 4-1, winning twice by fall, technical fall, and decision. 

Stillwater's Ladarion Lockett, who is ranked No. 2 at 165 pounds and No. 4 in the overall Pound-for-Pound rankings, was 4-0 with three wins coming by fall and one win being a technical fall.
