2017 NWHOF InducteesNational Wrestling Hall of Fame, Minnesota Chapter Inducts 8

On Saturday April 22, 2017 the NWHOF Minnesota Chapter held their 15th annual ceremony and inducted 8 distinguished members who have contributed significantly to Minnesota Wrestling.  The Awards Ceremony was held at the Holiday Inn Austin, Mn., with over 250 in attendance.

Inducted in 2017 were Outstanding American Dr. Perry Malcolm, Metal of Courage Winner Jerry Byers, and Lifetime Service Honorees Steve Bechtold, Jerry Cleveland, Bill Demaray, Jack Eustice, Eugene Hildebrandt, and Gary Smith.

Krista Graff, the State Chapter Director for the NWHOF Stillwater, attended and presented the plaques to the honorees.

Lifetime Service To Wrestling

Given in recognition of years of dedication to the development of leadership and citizenship in the youth through the sport of wrestling.

Outstanding American

Given to former wrestlers who are highly successful and use the disciplines learned in wrestling in their profession.

Medal of Courage

Is presented to a wrestler or former wrestler who has overcome what appear to be insurmountable challenges.

Annual Chapter Meeting

The Annual Minnesota Chapter Honors Banquet will be held on Sat. April 21, 2018

The 2018 Mn Chapter of the NWHOF will hold its Honors Banquet at the Austin, MN Holiday Inn on I-90 Exit 178A.  Social Hour starts at 2 PM, Dinner at 3, and Program at 4:30 PM.
