Walter Romanowski

Dr. Walter Romanowski was an Illinois state runner-up for Tilden Tech in 1947.

He was a national champion for Cornell College at 130 pounds in 1951 after finishing runner-up at 128 pounds in 1950. He was named Outstanding Wrestler in 1951 after winning a weight class that included seven former champions, becoming the first Illinois wrestler to earn the honor in the University Division.

Romanowki is a member of the Cornell College Hall of Fame.
