Fred Ambrose
For over three decades, Fred Ambrose has been a part of the officiating arm of wrestling.
Since 1967, he has worked countless wrestling competitions, including five Pennsylvania High School State Tournaments and 23 NCAA Division I and II national championships.
His excellent work on the mat resulted in five times the selection as the Division II top official and in the top four on several occasions at Division I. He presently is ranked as the number two official in the nation at the Division I level.
He served 15 years as president of the high school chapter of rules interpretation and is a contributing writer for the National High School Wrestling News. In 1992, he founded the WRESTLER OF THE MAT program, a wrestling camp that he still directs.
