Chuck Jean

April 03, 1949 - September 29, 2021

Chuck Jean won two NCAA Division I championships for Iowa State University and helped the Cyclones capture back-to-back national team titles in 1969 and 1970.

He then transferred to Adams State College and won a pair of NAIA national titles while helping the Grizzlies win national team titles in 1972 and 1973.

Jean holds the distinction of being the only college wrestler to win four individual national titles and four national team titles.

He was a dominant wrestler, winning a Minnesota state championship as a senior, and outstanding football player for Albert Lea High School.

Named to the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference All-Time Wrestling Team, Jean is a member of the Minnesota Wrestling Coaches Association Hall of Fame, the Adams State College Hall of Fame, the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Hall of Fame, the Mayo Civic Center Region One Hall of Fame, and the Albert Lea High School Hall of Fame.
