John Craven
Originally from Pennsylvania with no wrestling background, John Craven moved to California in the late 1970s to coach football at Whittier High School.
He then moved to Buena Park and was offered the head coaching job for wrestling.
Learning the sport by attending clinics, open mats, and from other programs, Craven created an elite wrestling program that he coached until 1998.
