With an overall 4 yr record of 166-14, Joe Rice has joined the elite group of wrestlers who can claim the title of Four Time State Champion. Joe Rice is not only a 4 yr member of the New Plymouth HS wrestling team, he is also a 4 yr member of the NPHS Cross Country Team, qualifying for State in 2015. Joe certainly exemplifies the characteristics of the Dave Schultz Award. He has been voted by his team mates and coaches to be the team captain of his wrestling team for the last three years. Joe has dedicated over sixty hours of community service working at middle school and club events to assist in building those programs for the younger wrestlers. Joe is a member of the Honor Society and represented New Plymouth HS at Boys State last summer. Excellence in wrestling, scholastic achievement, citizenship and community service, Joe has the whole package.
