Matt Markowski of Fort Myers High School will graduate with a 4.18 GPA and is a member of the Quill and Scroll Society, Renaissance and Youth Alive organizations.

He is frequently requested as a guest speaker at school Renaissance rallies and church youth groups.

Matt was selected as a member of the USA Wrestling Magazine 2001 All-Academic Team.

Markowski is a three-time Florida high school wrestling state champion and a 10-time Florida freestyle and Greco-Roman state champion. He was a 1999 Cadet Freestyle All-American and a 2001 National High School Coaches Association Senior Nationals All-American.

For his outstanding achievements Matt was named the 2001 3A Wrestler of the Year and the 2001 Rotary South Scholar Athlete of the Year. Three times he was named Sportsmen Club of Southwest Florida Athlete of the Year.
