Thomas Gaylin, III

Thomas Gaylin has invested more than 20 years in supporting wrestling in the state of Maryland and officiating on the national level.

He has been a member of the Maryland Wrestling Officials Association since 1978, serving as commissioner, secretary, president and vice-president. He has also been active with the National Wrestling Officials Association since 1981. He has conducted more than 100 clinics on rules interpretations, including four officials' seminars at the NWCA Convention.

Gaylin has not only officiated 10 consecutive NCAA Division I Championships, but has been chosen to officiate the championship finals eight times. He has also officiated at the Virginia Duals Championships 14 consecutive times and the Cliff Keen Invitational Tournament. He has officiated the National Team Championships 12 times, making his career total an impressive 22 National Tournaments with more to come.

Gaylin has been involved as a coach, steering a Golding Ring Junior League Team to a Maryland Junior Wrestling League Division crown four times. He also provides scholarships for summer camps affiliated with the Maryland State Wrestling Association.
