David Mitchell
David Mitchell is a coaching "lifer", who's dedication and selflessness embodies what the National Wrestling Hall of Fame is all about. He is one of those guys who can always be counted on, no matter what the task, whether it's setting up and running an event, or coaching on the Florida National Team staff. Dave has been coaching wrestling since 1997, first at his alma mater Tampa Leto High School, and currently at Wharton High School. At Leto, Dave was a 3-sport athlete (Football, Wrestling and Track), and continued competing in all three at Yankton College in South Dakota. He is currently the Head Wrestling, Head Football and Assistant Track/Field Coach at Wharton High School. Dave has coached State Champions Mike Heldt, Michael Santos and Kenny Simms, and been a member of every Florida Junior National Team since 1992.
