Andrew Alton was a two-time Pennsylvania state wrestling champion and four-time state place-winner for Central Mountain High School in Mill Hall, Pennsylvania.

He had a career record of 178-8, including 45-0 as a senior and 46-0 as a junior while winning state titles. He was 47-1 and finished third in the state as a sophomore and was 40-7 and finished third as a freshman.

Alton was a two-time Junior Freestyle Nationals champion and a Junior Greco-Roman Nationals runner-up while also earning All-America honors at the FILA Junior Nationals in 2009 and winning the Super 32 Challenge in 2008.
