Lynn Dyche

Lynn Dyche has been a high school teacher for 34 years and a high school coach for 18 of them, earning national high school Coach of the Year honors in 1974. He officiated for 33 years until retirement was forced upon him for medical reasons. He serves as secretary-treasurer for the National Wrestling Officials Association.

Dyche organized and directed the first California Interscholastic Federation states championships in 1973, served as tournament director five times and has been chief official since 1984. He also was chief official for the California Junior College tournaments 1988-94. For the past five years he has headed the staff which evaluates officials at the NCAA Division I Championships.
