Brian Owen was an undefeated Washington state wrestling champion as a senior for University High School in Spokane, Washington.

Was a four-time state qualifier and two-time state champion with a career record of 124-4.

He was also a two-time All-State honoree in academics and earned a silver medal in Greco-Roman and a bronze medal in freestyle at the Junior Pan American Games in Cuenca, Ecuador.
