Howard Kroesen
Howard "Hob" Kroesen graduated from Elizabethtown College in 1971, competing all four years, and earning the first-ever McCullough Award for the most improved athlete.
After college, Hob became a wrestling official, working for 25 years before retiring in 1996. He officiated two state championships and countless sectional, district, regional and MAC tournaments, serving as head referee at many.
He was the Lebanon-Lancaster Wrestling League's "Outstanding Official" three times. Hob served 12 years as the officials' chapter secretary and becomes the fifth National Wrestling Hall of Fame inductee from that chapter.
For 15 years, Hob was the head coach of the Elizabethtown Boys Club for wrestlers aged 6 to 12. He is a member of both the Elizabethtown Wrestling and District 3 Coaches Halls of Fame.
He has been secretary of the NWHOF Pennsylvania Chapter for 13 years.
He has serves as PIAA Weigh Master since 2000 and served as tournament director for many high school and collegiate championship tournaments, including the 2015 NCAA Division III Championships.
Hob and wife Marilyn live in Elizabethtown and have four children, Chris, Dean Curtis and Carrie.
