Manny Yubeta
Ask someone on the streets in San Manuel who has been the most influential man in San Manuel sports and you will probably hear a historical account about Manny Yubeta.
Starting out as a middle school coach, Manny moved to the high school and led the Miners to a mega 515 dual wins.
His teams captured eight regional titles and capped it off with a state runner-up finish and a couple of state team championships.
His wrestlers earned 69 region titles and 11 state titles and two wrestlers earned All-America honors.
Manny was named Arizona Coach of the Year for all divisions in 2002 and he was named National Region 8 Coach of the Year that same year.
Embedded in his coaching were his wrestlers involvement in community clean up, outreach walkathon for the kids, and the Take Down Cancer Competition.
