Bob Crosswhite

Bob's first exposure to wrestling was as a member of a two-time State Championship team in Holbrook, Arizona. After a hiatus from the sport of wrestling for a few years to follow the rodeo circuit, Bob came back to NAU where he rekindled what became a lifelong love affair with wrestling. His teams captured 8 state titles and 4 runner-up trophies while at two different schools over the years. They won state titles in 3 of the 4 state classifications. Individually, his wrestlers won 41 State Titles and 95 other places at State Tournaments. He coached several High School All Americans along with Freestyle / Greco champions and place winners. Bob sent many of his wrestlers around the globe to wrestle in cultural exchanges. His Winslow team was named "Top Small School" in the country by national publication USA Wrestling Magazine. Bob was chosen Region 8 coach of the year twice by the National HS Coaches Assoc. and Region 8 coach of the year by the National Wrestling Coaches Association. Aside from coaching, Bob officiated HS Wrestling for 4 years and directed five AIA State Tournaments. He give's credit to his wife Novelyn for her unconditional support to coach in what truly became a lifelong endeavor to impact student's lives through the sport of wrestling.
