  • 1985 graduate of the University of Georgia (Athens, GA)
  • 3 years ( 1997-2000) - assistant coach at Jefferson High School (Jefferson, GA)
  • 28 years (1986-96; 2001-19) - head coach at Jefferson High School
  • Led his Jefferson teams to 18 straight Georgia High School Association (GHSA) state championships (2001-18)
  • Coached Jefferson to 18 straight Dual Meet State Championships (2002-19)
  • Guided teams to 36 state titles over four different GHSA classifications
  • Coached three 4X GHSA state champions and 93 individual state champions along with 62 state runners-up
  • Coached each of his four sons to individual GHSA state titles
  • Head coaching record of 686-51-1
  • National Wrestling Coaches Association Region 3 (GA, FL, NC, SC, TN, VA) Coach-of-the-Year
  • 4X NWCA Georgia Coach-of-the-Year (all classifications)
  • Started the Jefferson USA youth wrestling program (1996)
  • Started, organized and co-chaired the Georgia Chapter - National Wrestling Hall of Fame (2003)
  • Class A representative for the NWCA (1997-2007)
  • Jefferson High School Star Teacher (2000)
  • Past member of the National Wrestling Coaches Association and wrestling representative on Georgia Athletic Coaches Association board
  • Wife, Jackie; adult sons, Cam, Cason, Tanner, Tyson
