- 28 years (1986-96; 2001-19) - head coach at Jefferson High School
- Led his Jefferson teams to 18 straight Georgia High School Association (GHSA) state championships (2001-18)
- Coached Jefferson to 18 straight Dual Meet State Championships (2002-19)
- Guided teams to 36 state titles over four different GHSA classifications
- Coached three 4X GHSA state champions and 93 individual state champions along with 62 state runners-up
- Coached each of his four sons to individual GHSA state titles
- Head coaching record of 686-51-1
- National Wrestling Coaches Association Region 3 (GA, FL, NC, SC, TN, VA) Coach-of-the-Year
- 4X NWCA Georgia Coach-of-the-Year (all classifications)
- Started the Jefferson USA youth wrestling program (1996)
- Started, organized and co-chaired the Georgia Chapter - National Wrestling Hall of Fame (2003)
- Class A representative for the NWCA (1997-2007)
- Jefferson High School Star Teacher (2000)
- Past member of the National Wrestling Coaches Association and wrestling representative on Georgia Athletic Coaches Association board
